5th Anniversary Cloud Cabinet

Based in San Jose, United States
Part of the Sun at Six 5th anniversary special collection, celebrating their history and the first Ming dynasty era pieces that Antares’s mom worked on over 30 years ago when she learned furniture.
Ming era cabinets are divided into round-corner and square-corner varieties. Square corner cabinets, like this Cloud Cabinet, vary greatly in size, from smaller ones like this to some that are 12 feet tall and include a removable upper segment.
We made the Cloud cabinet using the traditional mortise and tenon joinery system, including “floating” panel top and sides which are locked in by the frame along the edges of the cabinet. The cabinet interior includes 3 solid wood inner drawers, 2 shelves, and is finished with traditional brass pulls with lock pin.
